In the role of Field CTO, reporting directly to the General Manager and CEO of DataBee, you will be a key contributor to furthering the development of DataBee and its adoption in enterprise accounts. DataBee is the BU’s growth engine and is an innovative security & governance, risk, and compliance data fabric platform.
In the Field CTO role, you will be the glue between sales, sales engineering, marketing, product management and engineering. You are expected to use past creative experience, product management skills, technology alliances experience and sound business judgment to make decisions on the best way to create a product that delights customers and meets our business objectives.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Working directly with the DataBee go-to-market and product development teams, you will act as both a technology and business expert, making decisions impacting current and future operations and engaging with key customer executives worldwide
As the Field CTO, you will establish the technology vision, strategies, and growth plans within select strategic accounts, aiding the General Manager of DataBee
For this role, we are seeking expertise supporting a growth strategy by expanding existing customer relationships, acquiring new logos, developing new business opportunities, and cultivating partner relationships
Providing technical leadership and serve an integral role within the DataBee GTM team in a customer facing capacity, to include advising on enablement, operations, and more
Developing objectives and strategies for the implementation of innovative solutions within enterprise accounts
Providing thought leadership in support of DataBee’s marketing activities through conferences, webinars, blogs, and other engagements.
Serving as a mentor to our pre-sales and post-sales team, on the POV process, and the design and implementation of DataBee in certain accounts
Advocating and communicating technology capabilities internally and externally, including leadership, customers, partners, and vendors
Sharing information and developing a collective understanding of programs and issues
Making technology-related recommendations supported by data for DataBee roadmap that includes analysis of current regulatory actions, technological innovations, and fiduciary considerations
Conducting research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new processes and system alterations, as well as to analyze and improve upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a technological advantage for teaching and learning
Collaborate effectively with the leadership and cross-functional teams for alignment and support
Stay abreast of the latest trends in the data fabric space
Frequent travel to customer sites is expected, weekends and work off-hours is expected
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience includes leadership roles demonstrating a track record of technology innovation, design, development, and implementation with cybersecurity
20+ years experience in cybersecurity, data, or similar high-technology solutions working on organizational management, process improvement success, excellent understanding of customer behavior, with keen insights regarding technology and business trends
8+ years experience working in a startup or emerging technology environment
Demonstrated success selling and delivering at least $10M cumulative of emerging cybersecurity solutions to enterprise or federal accounts.
Demonstrated success influencing the product roadmap
Director or higher-level experience leading a software development engineering organization or a sales engineering organization
Experience in at least one of the following: SIEM, log parsing and management, security data transformation and analysis, security data lakes, data visualization, data privacy & compliance, search & query spanning vast amounts of data, self-service analytics
Proven track record of working with teams in an agile development environment and developing product requirements based on customer needs
Ability to create compelling customer presentations on technology for both technical to executive level audiences
Ability to draw and develop production aka customer-facing implementations of SaaS or subscription-based security solutions
Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to persuade and influence without authority, with a strong bias for action
Self-starter and always looking for new way to improve product and team efficiencies
Willingness to learn, coachability, desire to get into the details, and figure out things in a hands-on approach
Additional Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience in fast-paced environment
Experience in a scale-up, semi-structured or unstructured environment
Experience working in companies of different sizes, ideally a mix of startup and large companies
Inherent passion for solving big data challenges and security challenges
Experience working with strategic technology partners including hyperscalers and cloud data platforms

Compensation
National Pay Range: $141,562.50 USD-$331,787.12 USDComcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
