Core Responsibilities
Security and Reliability Integration
- Work tandem with engineering teams to integrate security into the software and cloud environments.
- Writing code and scripts to support Infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management, and automated security implementation and monitoring resolution.
- Evaluate, test, and manage endpoint security solutions across a variety of operating systems and container architectures.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver security solutions seamlessly into the system/application architecture and environments.
- Conduct technical engineering analyses to determine impact of security software or solutions on the application and infrastructure environment, ensuring security enhancements do not impede operational efficiency.
Performance and Security Optimization
- Monitor and tune system performance, ensuring optimal operation while enforcing security measures such as intrusion detection and prevention.
- Analyze real-time security data to adjust and optimize system configurations, achieving a balance between security posture and system functionality.
- Develop secure automation strategies that enhance infrastructure configuration and management without compromising security.
Performance and Security Optimization
- Engage with software and infrastructure engineers to develop security solutions tailored to application workloads and operational requirements.
- Advocate for and implement robust security controls, including but not limited to cloud security, application security, access management, encryption, and endpoint protection.
- Provide technical expert guidance on security best practices, fostering a culture of proactive security across engineering disciplines.
Other responsibilities:
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Selected candidate will be expected to work Eastern Standard Hours.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of administration experience with Linux, AWS, and Kubernetes
- 5+ years of experience in configuration management using Cloud Formation, Terraform, and Ansible or similar.
- 5+ years of experience coding in higher-level languages, such as Python, Java, or C++
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and operating systems (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, CentOS).
- Experience with technical security software deployment and management, as well as the development and enforcement of security policies.
Good to Have Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks and industry best practices.
- Advanced technical SRE experience and cybersecurity solutions.

Compensation
National Pay Range: $82,219.87 USD-$192,702.83 USDComcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
