Effectv Engineering helps drive the new generation of products that are transforming Comcast into a media and technology company. Engineering manages the operations for Comcast’s industry-leading video, high-speed Internet and voice services for consumers and businesses, and runs a network that supports numerous multi-billion dollar businesses. Comcast is creating next-generation technology for the fast-growing advanced advertising market. We enable and innovate solutions to support both traditional and emerging programmatic and premium advertising markets through our platforms, data, marketplace and sales channels. \n\nOur 10–12-week program as an intern at Comcast will help you cultivate meaningful relationships, develop professional skills, gain insight to the day-to-day operations of a top media and technology company, and receive mentorship opportunities to expand your professional network. You will gain invaluable knowledge of our industry, be part of our diverse and welcoming culture and receive exposure to other areas of the business, all while working on real life business projects and functions.
Job Description

- Possess and display knowledge of engineering methodologies, OSI layer concepts, skills, and their application through previous experience or applicable coursework. \n
- Strong troubleshooting and support skills to assist in improving team efficiency and performance, and/or flexibility. \n
- Collaborate with the development team to design, deliver, and support high performing applications, which meet organizational needs. \n
- Work closely with software developers to design, develop, test, configure and maintain existing and new software platforms. \n
- Package and support deployment of software releases top down from code to pipeline deployments. \n
- Participate in peer-reviews \n
- Analyze & troubleshoot production issues & code deployment activity \n
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams - developers, software quality analysts, and appropriate stakeholder \n
- Clear, concise and effective communication skills. \n
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary. \n
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned \n
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs \n
- Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program \n
Preferred Qualifications

- \nStudents who are completing their sophomore or junior year of studies in an Information Technology or similar degree program including computer science, mathematics, business information systems, or related field required \n \n
- \nStudents must maintain a 3.00 cumulative GPA or higher \n \n
- \nDemonstrated work experience with Microsoft Office Suites \n \n
- \nInternally motivated, able to work proficiently in a team environment \n \n
- Prefer experience or applicable coursework in some or all of the following: Azure, AWS, Networking, Linux, Windows, CICD and/or DevOps concepts. \n
Preferred Major(s)
