JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The Channel Manager, Emerging Business is a true hunter. Their primary goal is to find new distribution reseller partners currently unaware or limited in their understanding of Masergy. This role qualifies a reseller partners’ ability to sell Masergy products and services in a distribution resale model, educates reseller partners on the distribution sales value proposition and trains reseller partners on the Masergy products and services currently available through distribution. This role attends all industry and distributor events as directed by the distribution sales route leadership team and overall GTM plan.

Core Responsibilities

Develop, qualify and train new reseller partners aligned with the strategies of the Distribution Sales Route GTM plan.

  • Identify new targeted reseller partners to engage.
  • Educate reseller partners on company products and services, processes, and procedures.
  • Motivate and guide reseller partners by leading education on company value proposition and establish training timelines and expectations in an effort to activate new reseller partners.
  • Provide feedback to the leader of Global Distribution Channels to ensure that sales and marketing plans, programs and policies are executed through the levels of distribution sales operations.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for continuous development of the distribution sales program.

Qualifications:

  • Requires 2 to 5 years of Channel Management in the distribution sales channel, including a background managing or working with Reseller Partners (VARs/MSPs), with a proven track record of success.
  • Confident self-starter capable of building meaningful relationships at all organization levels within Distribution Partners, Reseller Partners and Alliance Partners. The ideal candidate has established relationships with Reseller Partner channels in vertical markets, managed service providers, industry and IT consultants.
  • Must understand Partner Programs and the critical elements that will drive success. Must have adequate technical knowledge to make presentations and lead partner discussions to advance the sales process.
  • Knowledge of Network Services, Managed Security and Unified Communications is required. Strong strategic and tactical planning skills required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to travel a minimum of 5 - 10 days a month.

Education

Bachelor's Degree
