SNAP Connect and Food Navigation Intern-Peoria

Woodford County Health Department

Position: Part-Time/Temporary (through June 2027)

Salary: $18.00/hour

Hours: 16 per week

Qualifications

• Required:

o High-School Diploma

o Ability to work independently and support team-based tasks.

o Basic computer and data entry skills, including familiarity with online portals

o Valid Illinois driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation

What You’ll Do

• As a SNAP Connect Intern, you will:

o Assist with SNAP-Ed nutrition classes and food access programming.

o Identify and refer SNAP-eligible individuals.

o Provide basic SNAP application assistance.

o Conduct community outreach.

o Support data tracking and reporting.

o Coordinate with Woodford County Community Health Worker for follow-up assistance.
