SNAP Connect Intern-Woodford
Woodford County Health Department
Position: Part-Time/Temporary (through June 2027)
Salary: $18.00/hour
Hours: 16 per week
Qualifications
• Required:
o High-School Diploma
o Ability to work independently and support team-based tasks.
o Basic computer and data entry skills, including familiarity with online portals
o Valid Illinois driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
What You’ll Do
• As a SNAP Connect Intern, you will:
o Assist with SNAP client communication and follow-up.
o Help clients gather required documentation and understand ABE portal application steps.
o Provide prescreening and basic SNAP assistance for individuals in Woodford and Marshall
County.
o Coordinate warm handoffs to Community Health Workers and ensure proper referral
tracking.
o Support in-office organization of SNAP Connect materials and outreach packets.
o Assist with outreach and education tasks aligned with Woodford County program goals.
o Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and data records for program reporting.
