About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Accountability Associate Manager for the Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) Due Diligence process in CSBB Financial Crimes Operations. This role will manage a team or teams that perform PEP Due Diligence reviews and associated work. Responsibilities include team management; process oversight, execution, and development; and review and approval of work in a queue-based environment.


In this role, you will:

  • Supervise Specialists in performance of less complex tasks and processes to ensure timely completion, quality, and compliance of assigned work
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, risk management, and control opportunities
  • Make day-to-day supervisory and tactical decisions and resolve issues related to team supervision, work allocation, and daily operations under direction of senior management; leverage interpretation of existing policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for aligned department or business group
  • Be responsible for selection, evaluation, and development of staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of risk management, business controls, or compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 1+ years of leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ BSA/AML experience
  • 1+ years of management experience
  • Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) Due Diligence experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Operates independently with minimal supervision, and effectively manages work requests to meet performance expectations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed teams
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and maintain momentum driving for results and clarity in uncertain situations
