Job Details

Vonachen Group is looking to hire a Procurement Specialist based out of our corporate office in Peoria, IL.

The Procurement Specialist at the Vonachen Group is responsible for assisting the Procurement Manager with supporting VG Operations team members, such as ordering cleaning supplies and equipment, managing inventory, and the job responsibilities listed below. This person will be responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing a high level of support to VG Operations Field, and adhering to company policies. This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, highly organized, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.

Job responsibilities:

  • Ordering janitorial cleaning supplies and resale items for the company.
  • Monitor and track billing of resale items to customers.
  • Validate tickets for invoicing by working with the accounting team during the month's closing process.
  • Assist managers with credentials and training on our ordering portal.
  • Prepare, upload, and reconcile invoices for uploading into software for month closing.
  • Assist with ordering and recommending cleaning equipment and equipment parts.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and equipment, along with paying invoices for purchases.
  • Order and maintain apparel inventory for VG hourly employees.
  • Maintain direct communications with VG's vendors to maintain rebates, relations, and projects.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

    • Must be 18 years or older
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, either orally or in writing
    • Superb organizational skills
    • Ability to multitask projects meeting deadlines
    • Good communication skills
    • Customer-oriented and friendly
    • Knowledge of accounting and general ledger functions

Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

    • Sit and stand for long periods of time
    • Repeat the same movements
    • Frequent bending and twisting
    • Able to lift, push & pull 50lbs
    • Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
