Vonachen Group is looking to hire an Accounting Manager based out of our coprorate office in Peoria, IL

Job Details

Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monthly financial statement closing process and the generation of financial statements.
  • Manage the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.
  • Oversee accounts payable processing for all entities
  • Oversee invoicing process for all entities
  • Oversee accounts receivable for all entities
  • Heavy User of WinTeam Financial ERP platform
  • Primary interface with Team Financial on operating issues
  • Maintain Team Financial Systems (ERP) for security and accounts
  • Maintain licensing for vehicles for all entities
  • Work with external auditors to prepare annual reports
  • Support tax planning and reporting requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

  • Skills and Abilities
    • Must be 18 years or older
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Customer-oriented and friendly, works well with a diverse team
    • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills including relationship management/building skills
    • Willingness to attend training related to industry practices and procedures
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 3-5+ years of related work experience
    • CPA preferred (not required)
    • Master's degree a pluss
    • Strong understanding of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP), business practices, and management principles
    • Ability to mentor team members
    • Strong focus on customer service
    • Prior leadership/management experience in related field
    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
    • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and reprioritize projects quickly as needed
  • Physical Requirements
    • Sit for long periods of time
    • Repeat the same movements
    • Frequent bending and twisting
    • Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
    • Occasional travel as needed
