We are looking for qualified Layout Welders to join our team on 2nd and 3rd shift.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assembles and fabricates steel component parts and/or fixturing to build high quality product and full assembly of components using specialized equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reads, interprets, and follows blueprints, engineering drawings, and other documents to build steel parts for production and/or fixturing.
• Lays out work on bluco table or similar type modular fixturing equipment. Sets up work with provided documentation and knowledge of required fabrication processes to produce high quality components or finished product.
• Inspects work in-process and completion to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Uses a variety of welding and other equipment to achieve desired results.
• Performs weld rework and repairs to fixturing and other tooling as required.
• Inspects and measures finished products to ensure quality specifications are achieved.
• Checks and maintains equipment and tools daily to ensure functionality.
• Provides training and guidance to new Layout Welders as required.
• Performs other related duties as required, including production welding when assigned.

• AWS certification and advanced welding experience.
• 2 years relevant layout welding or metal fabricator experience required.
• Technical course certification a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient ability to read blueprints and other engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with a variety of metal fabrication tools and equipment.
• Demonstrated safe overhead crane operation
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills with a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
• Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to train incoming new members and transfers
• Periodically manually lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time
