We are seeking a Workday Security Administrator to join our dynamic HR technology team at RSM. In this pivotal role, you will be the guardian of our Workday system, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our data. You will be responsible for implementing and managing security policies, monitoring system access, and safeguarding against unauthorized modifications or breaches. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of our HR systems and the protection of our digital assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Oversight: Lead the management of Workday’s security domains, groups, roles, and policies, ensuring robust access controls for HR and Payroll functions.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor Workday system activity, conducting audits to preempt security misalignment and ensure compliance with data privacy laws and ISQM audit standards.
  • Collaborative Development: Partner with HR teams and the HR Technology Data Steward to craft and implement security requirements/policies for HR projects within Workday, adhering to data governance guidelines.
  • Audit Excellence: Conduct ISO security audits, upholding the organization’s compliance with ISO 27001 standards and driving continuous security enhancements.
  • Innovative Leadership: Spearhead special projects to explore and test new technologies and processes for HR Technology systems, applying advanced design thinking principles.
  • Defect Resolution: Assess system defects’ impact and devise resolution plans, collaborating with the HR technology team and external vendors.
  • Mentorship and Training: Coach and guide junior HR technology staff, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Upgrade Analysis: Evaluate system upgrades/releases for business impact, conduct regression testing, and advocate for future enhancements/functionality.
  • Security Advocacy: Champion best security practices, implementing requirements, design, configuration, workflow, testing, training, auditing, and administration of Workday’s basic and advanced security.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of Workday security updates, patches, and enhancements, recommending proactive improvements to strengthen the security posture.
  • Focused Expertise: Implement and maintain a robust security framework within the HR Technology team, focusing on security evaluation, design, and configuration to support end-to-end business processes.

  • Internal Auditing Expertise: Proven experience in managing and leading internal audits, with a strong understanding of audit reporting practices and the ability to communicate findings effectively to auditors.
  • Audit Reporting Skills: Ability to prepare comprehensive audit reports for leadership and internal/external auditors, ensuring they meet the organization’s standards and effectively convey the audit’s findings, remediations and recommendations.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Workday Pro Certification in Security and HCM Core or other functional areas.

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in Workday security administration, with a specialized focus on HR and Payroll modules.
  • Advanced working knowledge of multiple HRIS/LMS systems, demonstrating a broad understanding of the HR technology landscape.
  • Proven experience conducting ISO and ISQM security audits and a strong familiarity with ISO 27001 standards, ensuring the organization’s adherence to best practices in information security.

Compensation Range: $79,600 - $135,900

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
