Reporting to the Workforce Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the Talent Operations Team’s objective to provide and manage centralized, highly repeatable solutions that allow RSM to achieve business goals while balancing the needs of our employees. The Leave of Absence (LOA) Lead will oversee and administer leaves for RSM employees and owners, ensuring we deliver an excellent employee experience in the process. This role will serve as the subject matter expert and point of contact for all aspects of LOA administration, provide oversight and execution for day to day leave administration, work closely with RSM’s third-party leave vendor, coordinate logistics between RSM stakeholders, act as a point of escalation for Leave of Absence Specialists/Coordinators, and collaborate directly with the Absence Manager to continuously improve the leave administration process for employees. This role will also directly supervise LOA Specialists responsible for providing day to day leave administration.


Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert within the Talent Operations function for all aspects of leave of absence cases in partnership with RSM’s leave of absence third-party providers and the Absence Manager sitting in the Total Rewards Center of Excellence.

• Interprets and clarifies LOA policies to address inquiries from employees, HRBPs and managers, escalating further to Absence Manager as needed. • Identify and develop continuous improvement solutions that create efficiency and improve the team member and employee experience related to leaves of absence.

• In collaboration with the Absence Manager, define the speed and quality expectations for the LOA team, including forecasting volumes and managing capacity to handle volumes within determined service level agreements

• May provide direction to other departments including IT, security, payroll and HR to resolve matters impacted by an associate’s leave of absence

• Conducts vendor and HRIS audits to ensure accuracy of LOA records and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner

• Facilitates weekly issue resolution call with third party leave of absence administrator as needed

• Administers accommodations requests in coordination with third party vendor based on predetermined guidelines • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related degree and/or minimum of 6 years of equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience administering LOA programs
• Minimum of 3 years experience using an HRIS
• Working knowledge and understanding of HIPAA, FMLA and other applicable legislation
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality

Compensation Range: $66,200 - $118,500
