Responsible for leading communication strategy for digital at RSM by creating internal and external communications plans and programs to position the firm as a digital leader for our clients and our talent and supporting our lines of business with the positioning of our digital service offerings. The Communications Director will be responsible for building strong relationships and developing multi-channel, compelling strategies, tactics and deliverables to inform, engage and inspire stakeholders with programs and collaborating with communicators leading other business units, industry and geographic focus areas to create better strategies, synergies and repeatable models.

Essential Duties:
- Serve as the communication leader and SME across the Enterprise on digital working closely with the enterprise digital leader.
- Position the firm as a digital leader and position our digital services in partnership with business leaders and fellow communicators.
- Create enterprise messaging that can be deployed alone and across service offerings to ensure consistency and alignment.
- Creating repeatable processes for the rollout of new digital solutions that support our talent and client experiences.
- Participate in strategy meetings with enterprise digital leader and his leadership team.
- Develop communications strategies, tactics and deliverables in alignment with RSM’s vision, purpose, values and strategies.
- Collaborate with thought leadership team to develop compelling external content for Enterprise, including whitepapers, byline articles and other thought leadership.
- Collaborate with senior executives and counterparts on the public affairs, thought leadership, marketing teams and in other functions to ensure that communications are planned, sequenced and integrated across the enterprise.
- Collaborate with other marketers to ensure activities are aligned and effectively communicated to all key stakeholder groups
- Write and edit communications for internal and external audiences in creative ways that inform, engage and inspire appropriate behaviors and actions, including developing tools and templates to be used in the field with a focus on integrating messaging across various programs and channels, whenever possible.
- Publish and deliver content through the firm's internal and external communication platforms, including RSM Power, webcasts, intranet, social media and website.
- Build plan to optimize use of RSM Power as a communication platform
- Monitor and evaluate program for continuous improvement. (25%)
- Actively work with the communication center of excellence leader and participate in COE team meetings to provide leadership, ideas and insights to continually improve communication processes, tools and results.
- Actively drive better collaboration and connectivity across all Lines of Business, internal functions industries and geographies to drive repeatable models, break down silos and build relationships with team members and key stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English or Journalism is required
- Masters in Communications, English, Journalism or Business is preferred.
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
- Exceptional writing and editing skills (required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (required
- Dynamic Signal or equivalent (preferred)
- SharePoint and Yammer (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience managing communications
EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of corporate communications experience; demonstrated experience
defining and managing communications strategy in support of a complex business environment
- 3-5 years of experience managing communications across multiple business units and supporting multiple leaders
- 3-5 years experience managing teams and processes
- Effective presentation and communication skills
- Ability to learn new subject areas quickly. (required)
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
- Proven experience managing communications agency resources and direct
- reports (required)
- Ability to train, counsel, coach and advise executives and peers in message development and delivery best practices (required)
- Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively in a highly matrixed environment
