Position Purpose
Under general management, support the administration of data collection and reporting needs. Pull data from various data sources using pre-constructed queries to update calculations, exhibits, or graphs. Recognize statistical anomalies and organize data with the end result of providing updates to the Accounting and Risk Services departments.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Collect data and compile reports to support a variety of functions: data reconciliation, graph or display updates, and metrics.
Communicate results to accounting or upload to accounting software.
Pull data from Business Objects, Excel spreadsheets, accounting software, or claim large loss reports by refreshing pre-constructed queries.
Assist with projects in which manual data preparation is required
Create queries from Business Objects, Excel spreadsheets, accounting software, or claim large loss reports, if necessary
Conduct checks over accounting output to verify that updates previously sent were communicated, understood, and implemented correctly.
Assist in special projects and other duties as needed.
Education & Experience
Typically requires a bachelor's degree
1+ years of related experience
[OR] equivalent level of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies
Ability to create and maintain thorough documentation of work processes.
Ability to use software to create queries or to pull data to find required data in reserving spreadsheets.
Ability to complete work tasks with attention to detail.
Ability to complete tasks within the deadlines provided.
Ability to organize data and communicate findings.
Ability to update data within already built spreadsheets.
Ability to recognize anomalous findings and change reports.
Compensation Overview
The base salary range for the position is listed below. Please note that the base salary is only one component of our robust total rewards package at RLI. The salary offered will take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability & specialization, as well as business needs. The below range may be modified in the future.
