Position Purpose
Provides basic operational and customer service support for the claim department administration.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Provide basic operational support for department administration and examiners.
Accurately process and prepare recovery, expense, and indemnity checks, wire transfers, form letters, claim denials, and company positions letters while adhering to claim department business rules and regulatory requirements.
Provide quality customer-service support to the Claim Department by performing claim intake, answering inquiries, recording accurate, thorough information, and resolving customer issues or routing callers to appropriate departments.
Prepare incoming correspondences for scanning into the image system in compliance with department business rules.
Scan and import various documents to work queues and/or claim files, including policy documentation, physical and electronic media, websites, emails, and faxes.
Assist in maintaining electronic billing system.
Assist in other projects as needed.
Education & Experience
Typically requires a high school diploma or GED
Office experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies
Good interpersonal and communication skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with associates and outside customers.
Must be proficient with computers and able to readily adapt to software systems and applications.
Must be detail-oriented and practice good organizational skills.
Ability to follow procedures as outlined by management.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to perform quality work while meeting processing deadlines.
Compensation Overview
The base salary range for the position is listed below. Please note that the base salary is only one component of our robust total rewards package at RLI. The salary offered will take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability & specialization, as well as business needs. The below range may be modified in the future.
