ITS - GIS INTERN

The Peoria County Information Technology Services Department is seeking a paid GIS intern under the direction of the GIS Manager. The GIS intern will assist the team through providing GIS services to Peoria County departments, clients, and the community. GIS duties include, but are not limited to: Process GIS data, map, and 911 addressing requests from customers. Create and maintain GIS application, map, and data products on the Peoria County GIS website

High school degree or equivalent. Currently enrolled in college pursuing a degree in geographic information systems (GIS), geographic information science (GISci), geography, or related field. Experience with ESRI software products preferred. Familiar with ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently and adhere to deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality
