Job Description Summary

To efficiently and effectively assist with all aspects of the operation of the Peoria County Juvenile Probation Department in insuring that the programs function in a professional and productive manner. Responsible for performing a broad range of secretarial and clerical duties in the efficient operation of the Juvenile Probation Department programs

High school diploma or equivalent. One to two years previous office experience preferred. Strong clerical skills (filing, answering phones, computers, etc.). Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of personal computers, word processing software and web based programs. Knowledge of psychological and medical terms. Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.
