Job Description Summary
Provide support and assistance to pregnant and breastfeeding women to promote breastfeeding initiation and continuation.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have successfully breastfed at least one infant. Must demonstrate cultural competence. Must be current or recent WIC Participant. Knowledge and ability to utilize computers and related technology efficiently, including but not limited to: Windows based operating systems; Microsoft Office software such as Word, Outlook, and Excel; Presentation software such as PowerPoint and Canva. Familiarity with collaboration software such as SharePoint preferred. Must have effective oral and written communication skills in individual and group settings. Must be able to handle multiple tasks with interruptions. Must have problem-solving, time management and organizational skills. Must have valid Illinois Drivers License, proof of auto accident liability insurance and access to reliable transportation. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Shall be in compliance with State of IL Healthcare Worker Immunization Laws or be willing to become compliant with them upon hire.
