OSF Multi-Specialty Group is seeking FT Hospitalist to work in Peoria, Illinois in an underserved area. The Hospitalist will treat adults only and will be responsible for both direct patient care and communicating, implementing, and monitoring the operational and strategic objectives of OSF Multi-Specialty Group; Provide high quality patient care to the patients of OSF; Provide such professional internal medicine services; Provide high quality in-patient care to the patients of the Hospitalist Service; Provide on-call availability to patients of the Hospitalist Service and the OSF Hospital on weekdays and/or weekends as agreed upon by the parties; Assist in the direction and supervision of the daily operation of the OSF Hospital and/or Hospitalist Service, which may include supervising advanced practice providers (nurses, physician assistants, medical residents) and advising the Ministry CEO concerning the recruitment, selection, retention, scheduling, and termination of non-physician personnel providing professional, technical, and clerical services to the Practice; Advise the Ministry CEO with respect to the selection, retention, and termination of all physician-personnel and assist in the recruitment of physicians as are required for the proper operation of the Hospitalist Service and the OSF Hospital; Advise Ministry CEO in the selection, maintenance and utilization of equipment in the OSF Hospital or Hospitalist Service setting; Provide a truly personalized, patient-centric experience to patients to the Hospitalist Service and the OSF Hospital aligned to the patient’s preferences, goals, and needs; Maintain the consistency and quality of all services provided to the OSF Hospital and/or Hospitalist Service and its hospitalized patients; Maintain full and current patient medical records, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by Physician or other support staff; Exercise diligence in assisting Ministry CEO in keeping OSF Hospital and Hospitalist Service costs to a minimum while maintaining a high level of quality care for patients; Provide timely consults to members of the OSF Hospital’s medical staff with respect to Hospital inpatients; Provide services to free clinics upon mutual agreement with Ministry CEO; Assist in the direction and supervision of the daily operation, which may include delegating and overseeing allied healthcare workers that typically provide services under the supervision of physicians, like Registered Nurses (29-1141.00) and Physician Assistants (29-1071.00).

Qualifications

Minimal requirements: M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent degree. Completed residency in Internal Medicine. BE in Internal Medicine; Illinois license to practice medicine; Illinois License to prescribe controlled substances; FDEA license to prescribe controlled substances required.
