Expected pay for this position is $17.00 - $18.89/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
This position will support pharmacy services at OSF MediPark Pharmacy in Peoria, IL.
Work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9:00am-5:30pm
Weekends are required and the incumbent will work 5 out of 6 weekends. The schedule is as follows: Saturday hours are 8:00am-4:30pm or 1:30pm-10:00pm. Sunday hours are 10:00am-6:30pm or 1:30pm-10:00pm. Extra pay will be offered when scheduled weekends are worked.
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the pharmacist on duty, according to established policies and procedures, performs general office duties including answering phones, operating cash register, reconciling cash register tape total with monies received, verifying cash register balances and maintaining records of all charge accounts. Orders and receives shipments of supplies, verifies accuracy and condition of items received, and stocks display shelves with same.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Approximately one to two months on the job experience necessary in order to gain knowledge of retail sales and inventory procedures, and selection and display of merchandise. Ability to read and write in order to review shipment orders and compare items received, and perform basic arithmetic calculations in order to make change and balance cash register at a level normally acquired through completion of high school.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with employees, visitors and staff purchasing items in the pharmacy.
Ability to walk and stand for up to sixty percent of work time when performing sales transactions and lift cartons of merchandise weighing up to twenty pounds for up to five percent of work time when stocking shelves.
