Pay range for this position is $40.42 - $58.01/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is a Salaried position.


Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The RN Clinical Practice Specialist drives nursing practice improvements by closing the gap between evidence-based care and everyday clinical practice. Leveraging implementation science and data insights, this role collaborates with nursing leaders, clinicians, Quality & Safety teams, and interdisciplinary partners to identify and address high-impact nursing practice gaps using both external evidence and internal practice-based data. Applying clinical judgment and engaging key Mission Partners - including shared governance bodies, operations, and patient and family advisory councils - the program manager uncovers barriers related to knowledge, behavior, and culture that impede adoption of best practices. Working closely with Clinical Excellence Centers, Service Line Councils, Nursing Practice Councils, and operational leaders, this role develops and advances scalable, evidence-informed solutions that enhance clinical efficiency, improve outcomes, and support organizational goals.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
  • Experience: 4 years of work experience in a patient-facing role.
  • Licensure/ Certification: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
  • Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Experience: 4 years’ experience with evidence-based practice and/or quality.
  • Previous leadership and/or program management experience.
  • Licensure/ Certification: Specialty nursing or leadership certification
  • Other Skills/ Knowledge: Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP), research, quality improvement initiatives, clinical practice
