Expected pay for this position is $21.72 - $25.55/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Enteral Feeding Process. Develops, implements and supervises compliance to standards of nutrition care to meet Joint Commission Nutrition Care, Ambulatory Care Standards, and IDPH Guidelines. Provides nutritional services with the inter-disciplinary team and education or counseling across the continuum of care to medical center patients, clinic physician office, clients corporate contracts and to the community. Responsible for orientation, training, performance monitoring, recognition and education of Nutrition Techs. Monitors and ensures quality, consistency, timeliness and proper services by completed assigned audits and daily monitoring; Supports stewardship of departmental assets in relation to preparation and delivery of enteral feeds. Maintains proficiency and understanding of computer systems in regards to entering/monitoring patients' enteral feeds. Monitors the maintenance of equipment. Orders necessary office supplies and forms. Monitors enteral feeds ordering process and inventory. Maintains a strong working relationship and understanding of enteral processes in order to fully understand and monitor patient needs. Serves as a liaison between nursing, pharmacy and all other caregivers.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience as a lead or leadership position in a food service, nutrition or healthcare setting OR Associates degree.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- 5 years in a related position such as food service, nutrition or healthcare setting.
- Purchasing, math and computer skills.
