Expected pay for this position is $29.30 - $34.47/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY: Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide pulmonary diagnostic testing as ordered by the prescribing physician that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served and in accordance with established procedures. Monitors levels of supplies and maintains diagnostic testing equipment. Effectively communicates with patients to elicit appropriate response in order to derive meaningful cardiopulmonary data.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed in the State of Illinois as Respiratory Care Practitioner or a Licensed Practical Nurse. •

If licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, must also hold current credentials with the National Board for Respiratory Care.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Obtain the Pulmonary Function Credential with the National Board for Respiratory Care.

• Five years of experience working with respiratory patients with obstructive and restrictive lung disease.

• Experience documenting in an Electronic Medical Record.
