Pay range for this position is $37.05 - $54.54/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is a Salaried position.


Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: ​Clinical Educator Ambulatory Post Acute serves as a member of the education and professional development team accountable to assess of the education, competency, and skill-building needs of clinical frontline staff. Clinical educator develops and implements innovative, high-quality education created in accordance with best practice and in alignment with the strategic goals and clinical initiatives of OSF. This position requires presentation of clinical education to multidisciplinary care teams across the ministry in a variety of clinical settings, including but not limited to classroom & virtual presentations, clinical demonstrations, facilitation of simulations, use of online learning platforms and other teaching-learning technologies.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelors in ​Nursing
  • Licenses/Certifications: RN in state of Illinois. Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
  • Experience: 2 years ​clinical nursing experience in the areas of home care, post-acute care, ambulatory healthcare setting or accumulative combination of the 3 areas.
  • Other skills/knowledge: Requires travel to all OSF HealthCare service areas Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Master's degree in nursing or education
  • Certification recognized by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Previous experience in education and use of technologies for learning, such as simulation, mobile applications, and online learning platforms
