Pay range for this position is $36.59 - $53.17/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Critical Transport Nurse is a licensed professional who provides high quality care, including assessment, triage, and treatment utilizing established standards and guidelines during the transport of high risk patients. Under the supervision of an attending Physician, the transport nurse will provide quality care to achieve optimal outcomes along with thorough and high quality documentation of patient care. The Transport Nurse will utilize critical thinking skills to assess the patient and follow established protocols to prioritize care needed for safe transport by air or ground of the critical patient to the appropriate facility. Responsible for carrying out and supporting the mission and goals of OSF HealthCare and assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Associate Degree
- Experience: 2 years of RN experience in pediatrics critical care, labor and deliver or neonatal.
- Licenses/Certifications: RN-Registered Nurse BLS - American Heart Association ACLS (as applicable) NRP (as applicable) PALS (as applicable)
- Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: BSN
- License/Certifications: National nursing certification is strongly recommend in field of expertise.
- Other Skills/Knowledge: Transport Nurse, that will do flight, weight shall not exceed 250 pounds in full flight gear (flight suit, boots, helmet, and coat) to maintain the aircraft at a gross weight to allow maximum performance and safety under atmospheric conditions
