Expected pay for this position is $36.04 - $42.40/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Ministry Financial Analyst supports financial planning and analysis, business development, and business performance of the health system. As an integral part of the OSF Ministry Financial Planning and Analysis team, the System Financial Analyst will support the development of processes and financial acumen throughout the system to deliver on the mission of OSF.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

Experience: 3 years of work experience in Accounting, Finance, or Revenue Cycle

Other skills/knowledge:

  • Demonstrated advanced computer skills such as MS Office
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills to gather, manipulate and interpret large amounts of data and transform into useable information to address operational needs
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under changing circumstances and deadlines; strong attention to detail with the ability to learn quickly; and strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to command respect and confidence with professional peers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master’s level coursework

Experience: 3 years of work experience in the healthcare industry

Experience with finance in an integrated healthcare environment Knowledge of: performance improvement methodologies, mergers and acquisitions, benchmarking or financial planning

Other skills/knowledge: Understanding of the healthcare industry, trends, issues, risks, etc. Experience with database and decision support systems. Licensure/Certifications: CPA, CMA, CHFP, or PMP certification
