Expected pay for this position is $20.21 - $23.77/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
After a 6-8 weeks training period training onsite in Peoria, this position has the option of remote work from home. Must reside in IL, must be meeting department expectations, and would need to be able to travel to the office for required meetings on various occasions.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Health Information Management Services (HIMS) Department is a support group for the OSF Ministry Services. The HIMS Coordinator III completes quality checks on daily work completed by HIMS Coordinators. They will work as a liaison with physician offices to verify all HIMS staff processes patient records accurately. The HIMS Coordinator III will also need to maintain spreadsheets for reporting as required. The HIMS Coordinator III will make recommendations and work with the Director and Supervisors to increase operational efficiency. The HIMS Coordinators III are expected to meet department standards for production, accuracy, reporting, and proper time management.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma/ GED
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Demonstrate proficient skills with Microsoft Office software. Excellent positive communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate flexibility with an ever-changing department. Self-directed, motivated, organized, able to multi-task and work independently, as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to assess the effectiveness of departmental processes and procedures and to recommend. improvements to all levels of staff, including leadership. Medical terminology and knowledge of physician office medical records. Excellent proof reading, accuracy, and attention to detail. Strong critical thinking skills.
