Expected pay for this position is $41.65 - $49.00/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

This position will offer hybrid remote of 3 days in office at JUMP Trading Simuation Education Center in Peoria, IL and 2 days remote
POSITION SUMMARY: As a Data Engineer II, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems that support data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the availability, integrity, and security of data across the organization. Additionally, you will play a role in mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Experience: 3 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related field. Proven experience with data warehousing solutions. Experience with big data processing frameworks. Experience with ETL tools and processes. Experience with data security and compliance best practices.
Licensure/ Certification: Epic training is required within 90 days of employment and certification within 6 months of employment. Certification may need to be maintained as new version training is released.
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Intermediate experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with cloud platforms, experience is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot data issues. Intermediate understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and data management principles. Intermediate proficiency in SQL and other database query languages. Experience with data visualization tools. Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 1 year experience with other technologies common to OSF Healthcare environment, Epic Systems preferred Experience with agile and rapid development processes.
Licensure/ Certification: Relevant certifications in data engineering or related areas
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Familiarity with big data processing frameworks and ETL tools.
