Expected pay for this position is $99.42 - $131.73/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Planning supports the development and execution of the strategic plan for OSF Healthcare System. Provides direction for the management planning process and related activities for all OSF regions, service lines and entities in collaboration with local planning resources. Works closely with Senior OSF Executives to assure operational management plans are connected to Ministry goals and strategies. Facilitates integration efforts across multiple plans and entities in a way that helps OSF HealthCare make expedient progress towards the achievement of Ministry goals. Works closely with OSF HealthCare goal owners on the development and maintenance of our strategic measurement system to assure OSF Leadership has visibility related to performance and progress towards the achievement of our Ministry goals. Collaborates with other OSF divisions to integrate financial planning, strategic planning, and other planning disciplines. Leads the development of timely market and industry trend analysis in collaboration with Ministry Healthcare Analytics and other OSF divisions. Provides analysis and information that helps OSF Executives to measure and track market position, conduct peer analysis across service lines, understand outmigration, and other key information needed to identify and evaluate actionable opportunities and future strategies. Serves as a key translator of our organizational strategy through effective staff communication tools, presentations and personal interactions across our Ministry. Coordinates planning resources across the Ministry and related activities. Leads complex strategy identification and planning efforts both internally and through consulting partners. Works with Senior Executives to set goals and metrics related to Ministry executive compensation plans.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, or healthcare related field or licensure in health related field.
- Three to Five years in healthcare operations and planning.
- Proficiency in executive level presentations.
- A clear understanding of key strategic challenges facing healthcare.
- Experience in integrating complex organizational plans with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop relationships and mange business partnerships with outside strategic partners.
- The ability to research and formulate approaches for complex healthcare strategic issues.
- Proven project management capabilities for complex, interconnected programs.
- Strong knowledge of specific micro applications (Excel, database, word processing, presentation and project planning).
- Strong analytical skills to address operational and system related problems, to gather and interpret operational, financial and clinical data, and to prepare clear, concise management reports.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required to share complex information with organizational leaders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in business, health care administration, or healthcare related field or licensure in health related field
- Exposure and/or training in 6 Sigma and or other PI methodologies and measurement
