Expected pay for this position is $36.56 - $48.44/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, Credit Balance Resolution oversees the planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling the operational activities of credits and requests for a refund from OSF Healthcare. The position ensures that contractual adjustments are correctly determined and accurately posted, overpayments are addressed according to contracts and the request for a refund follows proper workflows according to contracts and state regulations. This position assists the Director in establishing organizational priorities and operational strategies to drive optimal Credit Balance resolution performance. The Manager works collaboratively and maintains positive relationships with facility administrators, leaders, stakeholders, and necessary committees to meet business, regulatory, and service requirements. Owns responsibility to meet and exceed outcome metric goals.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business related field of study
Licensure/ Certification: Certified Revenue Cycle Representative required within 12 months of hire.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- Understands the impact of actions of the credits team on direct margin, operating margin and balance sheet metrics.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- • Demonstrated problem-solving skills Critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated experience as a team leader, leading teams to generate a vision, establishing direction and motivating members to achieve established goals.
- Exceptional leadership, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of state and federal regulations as they pertain to crediting processes and procedures.
- Working knowledge of hospital/professional billing, coding, charging, and charge capture
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Master's degree in accounting or finance. or pass CPA exam
Experience:
- Experience with payor relationships
- Past leadership in Revenue Cycle preferred.
