Overview

Job Specifics:

  • The Children’s Hospital of Illinois, part of OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, is seeking a full time pediatric nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery team.
  • The candidate must maintain state license as an APN/PA in the state of Illinois and professional certifications (APLS, ENPC, or PALS). Certification as an acute care specialty nurse practitioner or physician assistant through a nationally recognized certifying body is required. For APN’s, surgical assist certification will be required after completion of training program.
  • The position involves close collaboration with our 3 Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeons within the hospital and OR settings. Some outpatient clinic work will be required.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric orthopedics or a willingness to learn the subspecialty.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed to provide Advanced Practice Nurse Services or Physician Assistant Services Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Acute Care APN required, PA or APN with surgical assist training preferred.
