Expected pay for this position is $49.69 - $58.46/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under general direction, Database Administrators evaluate, plan, design, configure and project manage implementations of commercial database software application systems. Analyze, test, troubleshoot and maintain installed systems and support users. Provide documentation to support system design, testing and training. Assist with the management of customer expectations and customer interactions and participates in team quality management initiatives. Guide and advise less experienced Database Administrators. Area of Focus: The area of focus for this position is Epic/InterSystems Iris (Linux based command language), and/or Epic Cogito and Microsoft SQL database environment administration. Primary responsibilities include design and support of the installation, maintenance, and administration of the environment and related ETL processes. Secondary responsibilities include assisting in the support of other database systems within the environment.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience: 6 years of progressively responsible experience in hierarchical or relational database development and administration.
  • Licensure/ Certification: Must possess or obtain (within 6 months) certification in Epic System Manager, Epic Operational DBA, or Microsoft SQL Server/Azure DBA. One certification required within 18 months of hire. Certifications may be obtained through OSF-provided training and must be maintained.

Other Skills/Knowledge:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
  • Experience in data warehouse, reporting, and system administration is preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or 6 years of experience using IT systems.
  • Experience: 1 year of programming experience.
  • Experience in healthcare IT systems.
  • 2+ years in Unix, Linux, or SQL-based environments.

Preferred Other Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong technical leadership and project planning capabilities.
  • Advanced ability to assess, design, and support complex systems and integrations.
  • Proven success in mentoring, documentation, and enforcing development standards.
