Pay range for this position is $33.91 - $51.04/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Emergency General Surgery Program Coordinator collaborates with leadership and team to develop and improve the care provided to the Emergency General Surgery (EGS) patient population. The EGS Program Coordinator will use benchmarked data, established metrics, to develop quality improvement initiatives in conjunction with the clinical team. The EGS Program Coordinator will serve as a liaison to the other hospital departments providing metrics and education regarding best practice initiatives. They will foster and maintain a positive relationship with Physicians and all OSF Mission Partners supporting the Mission of the OSF Ministry.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Experience: 5 years of nursing experience with at least 2 years caring for general surgery patients
- Licensure/ Certification: IL Reg Nurse License
- Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration
- Experience: Quality improvement, 2 years of progressive leadership responsibilities
- Other Skills/ Knowledge: Experience in program leadership and development, Experience designing and implementing clinical protocols
