Expected pay for this position is $26.99 - $31.75/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.


Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Payor Services Contract Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining the Department paper and electronic files related to all managed care contracts, including a contract database, organizes all signatory processes and communications, and completes all managed care payor facility and ancillary provider applications. The Payor Services Contract Support Specialist assists in the review and execution of agreements and amendments and the management of the operational aspects of OSF HealthCare managed care relationships.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate degree in business or healthcare OR High School Diploma/ GED and three years related work experience in managed care, health care or insurance. Experience: Three years related work experience in managed care, health care or insurance. Working knowledge of managed care and healthcare delivery systems. Understanding of Hospital and Professional Coding (Rev Codes, MSDRGs, CPT, HCPCS, etc.) Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and Access or like database. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Working knowledge of managed care and healthcare delivery systems. Understanding of Hospital and Professional Coding (Rev Codes, MSDRGs, CPT, HCPCS, etc.).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or insurance. Experience: Beneficial to have an understanding of managed care and patient accounting systems utilized across OSF business units. Licensure/ Certification: CRCR Other Skills/ Knowledge: Ability to develop professional relationships and interpersonal skills necessary to work well with others. Effective oral and written communication skills for interactions at the leadership levels with OSF and with managed care organizations. Ability to work on several projects at one time with good organizational skills, judgment and maturity with minimal supervision.
