Expected pay for this position is $33.85 - $44.85/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, Commercial Billing and Follow Up is responsible for oversight of all enterprise Commercial Insurance billing and follow up activities ensuring that policy, procedures, performance standards, and service expectations are met. The Manager takes corrective action to ensure timely billing, reduce and prevent denials, manage accounts receivable and create efficiency to improve financial viability for OSF HealthCare. This position assists the Director in establishing the organizational priorities and operational strategies to drive optimal Commerical financial class performance. The Manager works collaboratively and maintains positive relationships with facility administrators, leaders, stakeholders, and necessary committees to meet business, regulatory, and service requirements. Owns responsibility to meet and exceed outcome metric goals.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma/ GED and ten (10) years revenue cycle management experience with three (3) years of direct hospital billing and follow up experience in a managerial role
OR Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field and five (5) years revenue cycle management experience with three (3) years of direct hospital billing and follow up experience in a managerial role.
Experience:
Five (5) years revenue cycle management experience with three (3) years of direct hospital billing and follow up experience in a managerial role
Licensure/ Certification: Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 12 months of hire
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. In-depth knowledge of Third Party and Commercial billing regulations, guidelines, and processes.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience as a team leader, leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members to achieve established goals. Working knowledge of state and federal regulations as they pertain to billing processes and procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration. Experience: 1 year Experience with payor relationships
