Pay range for this position is $40.02 - $57.69/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is a Salaried position.


Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Data Analyst RN is responsible for analyzing clinical quality measures, monitoring performance trends and identifying opportunities for improvement. Conducts analysis to determine potential root cause for changes in trends and forecasts potential future performance. Creates detailed analyses, reports and presentations to address both recurring and ad-hoc needs. Utilizes data visualization and presentation techniques to clearly articulate performance, summarizes key findings and translates data into actionable information. Maintains understanding of both measure specifications and clinical workflows to ensure accuracy of information. Identifies opportunities for both process and quality improvements and serves as a subject matter expert in organizational quality improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licenses/Certifications: ​RN in current state (IL)
  • Experience" 1 year experience with electronic medical record systems; 2 years clinical experience
  • Advanced skillset utilizing Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to interpret clinical data and understand clinical procedures and terminology
  • Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelors in Nursing
  • License/Certifications: Epic data model or reporting certification, Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
  • Experience: Statistical analysis, Crystal Reports and SQL development experience Experience working with regulatory, payer, quality reporting and registry databases Awareness of the principles and fundamentals related to Performance Improvement
