The hourly rate for this position is $17.00/hour This is an Hourly position.


Overview

3 days per week - 8:00am-4:30pm

This internship is open to a student that is looking to work during the summer.

POSITION SUMMARY: This is an entry-level internship designed to give early-career professionals hands-on experience with real data, tools, and workflows used in modern data science. The internship will be project-based, allowing the intern to take ownership of a specific initiative from start to finish. While support and guidance will be available from two experienced data team members, the role is structured to encourage independent, self-driven work. Interns will explore datasets, build models, and generate insights that support real business decisions, making this a great opportunity for students or recent graduates to apply their classroom knowledge in a practical and impactful setting.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Junior or Senior level student attending college or university pursuing Associate, Bachelor's, or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field

  • Solid understanding of basic statistics, probability, and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience with Python or R for data manipulation and analysis
  • Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts such as regression, classification, and clustering.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate findings and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with SQL for querying relational databases.

Exposure to data visualization. Experience working with real-world datasets (e.g., from Kaggle, public APIs, or coursework). Understanding of data cleaning and preprocessing workflows.
