Overview

Sign on Bonuses

· $11,250 with a 1 year work commitment (new graduates & external candidates)

Limited Weekend Requirements

*Self-scheduled per 6 week plotter

· 0-4 years of RN Experience = 4 Weekend Shifts

· 4-10 years of RN Experience = 3 Weekend Shifts

· 10-15 years of RN Experience = 2 Weekend Shifts

· 15+ years of RN Experience = No weekend Shifts

Generous PTO Plan

· Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive a bonus of 24 hours of Paid Time Off frontloaded on day 1. This is in addition to our generous PTO plan where you begin accrual on your first day.

Competitive Compensation

-Pay range for this position is $31.57-$47.20. Actual pay is based on years of licensure.

Stackable Pay Incentives

·This position includes a weekend shift differential of $3.25/hr.

POSITION SUMMARY: The nurse resident engages is a 12-month program that offers new graduate nurses a place of BELONGING where they can learn, grow, and thrive as they transition from students to safe and competent professionals. The residency program provides dedicated preceptors, workshops, mentorship, connection time, and well-being sessions. OSF Healthcare is committed to empowering nurses with the resources necessary to deliver compassionate and high-quality care.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma/ GED

Experience: N/A

Licensure/ Certification: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)

Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Less than 6-months of continuous registered nurse employment in an acute care setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: BSN preferred

Experience: Experience with information systems and technology in the healthcare industry

Licensure/ Certification: N/A

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
