Expected pay for this position is $31.49 - $37.05/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordinating and implementing all programmatic and operational needs of the Cancer InstituteTeaching Kitchen. Will be rresponsible for remaining compliant with all regulatory agency requirements. The out-patient Registered Dietitian/Coordinator of the Teaching Kitchen will be responsible for providing and coordinating community educational programs on nutrition for outpatient clients and groups with particular attention to oncology care management. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience:
At least 3 years’ experience in the nutrition field to include formal or informal teaching of nutrition education and program development.
Licensure/ Certification
Current state license as a Registered Dietitian
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Master’s degree in health care Field Culinary Education/Training Experience CSO (Board Certified Specialist – Oncology Nutrition)
Licensure/ Certification:
Certified Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire for facilities in Illinois
