Expected pay for this CMA position is $19.81 - $23.31/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
MOA pay is $17.60.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Medical Assistant Care Guide is responsible for registering, collecting payments, rooming, assisting the provider with care and treatment, discharging, and following-up with patients. It is the role of the Care Guide to companion patients and their “secondary guests” through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and maximize the patient experience; before, during, and after the patient visit.
The Care Guide is responsible for assisting the provider with front office and back-office duties in the outpatient management of patients on a rotating basis. This role is responsible for a variety of clinical functions within a clinic setting requiring knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision making; and a customer service attitude. Acting as the patient advocate, the Care Guide has continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families/significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management.

Qualifications
CMA REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma/ GED,
Certificate of completion/Diploma from a medical assistant program or Certificate of completion from Guild certified medical assistant clinical education and applied learning program. Experience: N/A Licensure/ Certification:
Licensure/ Certification: CMA-Certified Medical Assistant Current certification by one the following approved certifying agencies:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), earning CMA credential.
- American Medical Technologists (AMT), earning RMA credential.
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), earning NCMA credential.
- National HealthCare Association (NHA), earning CCMA credential.
American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) to be completed within 2 weeks of hire date
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: N/A Experience: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with an electronic health record, phlebotomy. Licensure/ Certification: N/A Other Skills/ Knowledge: N/A
