This Instructional Design position is focused on developing Epic education for clinical documentation
Requires some weekends, evenings, and mandatory travel
Salary range for this position is $73,486-$86,465; Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Instructional Designer I is assigned to one or more technology applications or work streams. With oversight, the role maintains and develops end user training and support materials and assists with quality assurance. Provides general direction, oversight and mentoring of Technology Trainers with guidance and support. Assists with building and testing of training environments for assigned applications.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma/GED and 2 years of experience in healthcare, adult education, developing training materials, or online curriculum development OR Associate's Degree in business administration, computer science, education.
- Licensure/ Certification: Epic certification within one year of hire. Obtain Epic TED certification within 18 months of hire. Maintain certifications once obtained.
Other skills/ knowledge:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- Effective communication skills in working with diverse groups, both verbally and in writing.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Experience developing PowerPoint presentations.
- Team player with ability to operate effectively at all levels of the Ministry including EMR users and project teams.
- Travel to OSF and PointCore entities to ensure communication, coordination and integration of application training adoption as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Experience developing online education training materials.
- Experience as a Trainer.
Other skills/ knowledge:
- Knowledge of assigned application.
- Knowledge of healthcare workflows and adult education principles.
- Ability to provide quality assurance on detailed training curriculum.
- Demonstrated success of motivating and presenting regarding new functionality and system implementations.
- Ability to effectively train designed curriculum in a classroom setting.
