Expected pay for this position is $24.61 - $28.96/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Social Services Navigator assists individuals in overcoming barriers within the healthcare and social services system, to ensure access and referral to available resources. This position coordinates with OSF departments to address needs of patients and community members. They are a liaison between the individual requiring services and the social service agency/medical providers. It necessary to conduct an analysis of needs to provide the correct support services to all assigned individuals. This role coordinates activities and projects related to the identified needs of the community.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience in human services or public health OR 3 years of experience in human services or public health
Other skills/knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in a Human Service or Public Health related field
Experience working in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other developmental disabilities and/or intellectual disabilities
