This position would offer the option to work remote. Will require incumbent to be present onsite for departmental meetings 2-3 times/month.
Salary range for this position is $73,786;$86,465; Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Business Partner serves as a consultant and strategic planning partner with Leadership and employees for human resources and organizational design efforts. The HR Business Partner works independently and collaboratively, responsible for incorporating HR strategies into the larger workforce needs of the organization by providing counsel, education, and recommendations for achieving results now and for the future. Provides guidance, support, and expertise pertaining to HR functions and initiatives. Works closely with leadership on developing and enhancing strategies for employee engagement and retention.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
Champions, drives and supports organizational change by being an active participant in the department's operational strategies. Partners with cross-functional HR Teams and other departments to develop, maintain, and present/train HR strategy, policies, programs, and projects. Offers input and subject matter expertise, supporting change management initiatives.
Serves as a consultant and guide to Leadership on organizational designs, skill development needs, and engagement opportunities. Problem solves using fact-based and data-driven decisions and recommends appropriate solutions.
Fosters collaborative work relationships with Leadership through regular meetings and consultations to develop, implement, and sustain strategic plans for Mission Partner engagement and retention. Provides guidance and support to proactively monitor for trends developing and to resolve new and existing challenges. Assists with the development of engagement action plans with department leadership and staff, monitoring the results of action plans implemented.
Serves as an employee advocate while effectively balancing serving as a business contributor.
Supports and assists leaders through workforce planning, succession planning, restructuring, and review.
Demonstrates and applies knowledge and expertise in areas of employment law, management principles, and employee relations concepts.
Contributes to research, data collection, evaluation, interpretation, and recommendations to the business.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: 3 years related HR experience in order to gain in-depth knowledge of employee relations, employment law, leadership competencies, and HR operational functions.
Other skills/ knowledge: Strong interpersonal skills necessary to provide effective communication and to lead others at all levels of the organization toward the accomplishment of strategic goals. Analytical skills to gather and analyze complex and large sets of data. Computer skills to find, organize, and present data, organizational structure needs, and recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary for preparing and presenting accurate and appropriate documentation, reports, and presentations.
