Overview

Job Specifics:

  • We are looking for a candidate with OB experience that is passionate about community healthcare and the OB population.
  • The OnCall Connect OB APN is responsible for providing virtual prenatal and postpartum care and in person care on a Mobile OB unit.
  • OnCall currently supports OB care within OSF by offering virtual visits for the missed menses, first prenatal and two-week postpartum visits for patients who see most OSF OB practices. We will also serve as the primary OB provider for Medicaid patients on a mobile OB unit.
  • OnCall Connect OB also offers virtual support to the Medicaid population through a collaboration with the state. These patients are provided an extra layer of support through an application that is monitored by the RN team. Occasionally these patients require escalation visits after triage. The APN will be responsible for these same day virtual visits.
  • The role of this position will continue to evolve and change based upon the needs of the community.
  • This role will include rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master’s degree in nursing Experience: 2 years of clinical experience Licensure/ Certification: Illinois RN and APN license Required upon hire. MI RN and APN license required within 6 months of hire date. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Understanding of the principles of performance improvement, case management, discharge planning, utilization review, and medical records. Demonstrated ability to work independently Proficiency with Windows based computer operations Proficient in utilizing an electronic EMR system. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Obstetric clinical experience Working knowledge of Epic EMR System Experience in change management or continuous improvement initiatives Licensure/ Certification: Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
