Expected pay for this position is $189.21 - $236.52/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The VP, Service Line (SL) Physician Leader functions as the overall clinical leader for the Ministry-wide Service Line. In partnership with the VP, SL Administrative Leader, this individual leads the development and market differentiation of OSF’s SL. This individual will be directly responsible for setting the clinical agenda of the SL and driving quality by advancing related systems of care across OSF to ensure high-quality, reliable, standardized, and repeatable care models, no matter where a patient accesses care. As the strategic clinical leader of OSF’s SL, this individual will have oversight responsibility for key functional areas such as, quality and safety, business and strategy development, and partnership opportunities. The SL Physician Leader will also have oversight of the development and management of Regional and Ministry strategic plans related to their SL and is expected to proactively lead within OSF’s operating structure matrix to collaborate on strategic planning efforts related to market positioning, clinician workforce planning, independent clinician integration, and community outreach. Part-time clinical practice will be required, though the specific minimum time requirement is flexible as determined by the OSF MultiSpecialty Group President.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MD with specialty certification
- 8 years’ experience in administrative management and/or medical experience as a facility or system medical director
- Working knowledge of current CMS/Joint Commission conditions of participation
- Working knowledge of State of Illinois rules and regulations governing healthcare
- License to practice medicine in Illinois or Michigan
- Board certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration or business administration
