Salary range for this position is $61,068-$71,864; Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Application Administrator I supports the basic integration of OSF HealthCare System applications through development, implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and decommissioning functions. The Application Administrator I must have a basic understanding of, mission-critical processes to provide technical expertise for the effective use of approved applications. This role is service oriented ensuring consistent availability of approved applications to our mission partners as a service within a team environment. Occasional travel could be required.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

Develops, implements, troubleshoots, performs maintenance, and decommissioning functions on basic application systems under minimal supervision, respecting OSF IT standards, industry best practices and business processes.

Perform and document Usability, Security, Compatibility and Software Quality Assurance testing within Windows environment.

Develops and collaborates on recommendations regarding potential selection of OSF applications through review of technical documentation.

Analyze, investigate, document and implement solutions to reported system issues that will facilitate expedited service delivery with minimal supervision.

Develop and maintain technical documentation for Application Implementation, Maintenance, and Support.

Develop Project Management skills to manage projects meeting designated timelines.

Demonstrate strategic planning to assist in maximizing support productivity within a team environment.

Track and manage reported issues and production changes with standard OSF tools.

Develops and manages business relationships with OSF, Non OSF mission partners and vendors with minimal supervision.

Effectively communicate to leadership, technical and non-technical audiences though multiple messaging methods.

Monitor reported application issues ensuring that Service Level Agreements and expectations to mission partners are met in a timely manner.

Participate in an on call rotation within a team environment.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associates Degree OR High School Diploma and 2 years’ experience in information technology or healthcare

Experience: Business Knowledge in Microsoft, Platform Virtualization, CompTIA, Citrix or Epic Client systems or similar platforms that are used in Healthcare Technology Information systems delivery.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other closely related field in order to understand information technology principles

Experience: Three years HealthCare Information Technology experience Experience working in an Enterprise environment Experience with application implementation and support Licensure/Certifications: One certification in area of discipline within 18 months of hire in area of discipline (minimum of 1) is required such as Microsoft (MCSE, MCSA, or similar); Platform Virtualization (examples: VCA, VCP, VCAP, or VCDX), CompTIA (A+, Network+, or Cloud Essentials, or similar), EPIC Client System Administrator, Citrix Certified Administrator, or certification within area of discipline as approved by application Manager/Director. Certification could be obtained through internally provided training. Certifications must be maintained.

Other skills/knowledge: Basic HL7 interface, x-12 EDI, or other data exchange knowledge as appropriate Basic knowledge of network, server, database and messaging technologies as it applies to application support.
