Expected pay for this position is $26.46 - $31.13/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead EEG (Electroencephalogram) Technologist oversees technical operation within the department. Provides coordination of daily activities including staffing assignments, staff schedules, clinical competency assessments, and overall operational efficiency of EEG services.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma/ GED
Experience: Candidate must be board eligible and successful completion of a Neurodiagnostic training program reviewed by the Committee on Accreditation for Education in Neurodiagnostic Technology (CoA-NDT) accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
Candidate must successfully pass the ABRET exam and obtain credentials of R.EEG T. within 12 months of hire.
Licensure/ Certification: BLS by American Heart Association
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
Knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, basic electronics, EEG pattern recognition, pharmacological conditions, and basic troubleshooting of END equipment.
Recognizes artifacts (patient, instrumental, or environmental) and takes appropriate measure to ensure optimal recording.
