Overview

Expected pay for this position is $18.43 - $21.69/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Event Operations Specialist is a vital and multifaceted role at Jump Simulation, designed to ensure an exceptional experience for all visitors and guests. This position holds significant responsibility, including overseeing the smooth operation of events, maintaining facility standards, and coordinating support services. This role is the first point of contact for all visitors and must provide a warm and professional welcome. This role manages and coordinates with Facilities Management, Cleaning Services, and Property Control to ensure that the building is always maintained and "show ready." Expertise in computer and AV systems is crucial, as this role will provide essential AV support and troubleshooting to event hosts, ensuring all technological aspects run seamlessly. Additionally, this role acts as a key liaison between various departments, such as Catering and Property Control, to facilitate smooth event execution. This role is also responsible for coordinating and communicating with the Standardized Participant Event Operation Specialists, ensuring continuity and excellence in event support when you are not present. Furthermore, this role assists the Event Liaisons at Jump Simulation with the scheduling meetings using our simulation scheduling software, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School/GED

Experience: 1 year in administrative/event support or customer-facing roles.

Licensure/ Certification: N/A

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Conflict management and resolution skills - this includes recognizing and escalating Building Security Concerns appropriately. Must be able to communicate and coordinate information to right person(s)/team(s). Must have strong reading and writing skills. Must have excellent attention to details. Must be timely in responding to communications. Independent work capability with reliable scheduling and punctuality. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with other employees. Must be open to continual learning. Strong Computer Skills that includes proficiency with Microsoft Office Teams and Outlook.
