Expected pay for this position is $56.87 - $75.35/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides oversight and direction in establishing and maintaining a system for developing, reviewing, approving and disseminating standards of clinical practice including, but not limited to: quality, education, advanced practice, and clinical operations within their division and the medical center. Makes recommendations on policy issues and technology needs regarding clinical practice. Responsible for the identification of opportunities to attain superior quality, safety and cost, including the implementation of solution sets and ongoing evaluation of performance, by working collaboratively with medical staff, other clinical leaders, and ancillary departments. Responsible for the planning, directing and evaluating operational performance of the division, including management of capital, financial and human resources.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- MSN or Masters in a health related field.
- Current State of Illinois license as a Registered Nurse
- Required to achieve national certification in leadership within one year of eligibility.
- Approximately 5-7 years progressively more responsible related work experience, including 2 years supervisory experience, Comprehensive knowledge of hospital clinical operations and coordination of patient care units.
- Interpersonal skills necessary in order to provide effective leadership to subordinates, maintain a variety of internal and external contacts, and work cooperatively with physicians, a variety of Medical Center Managers, executives and staff.
- Analytical abilities necessary in order to evaluate patient care delivery systems and results; respond to problems by identifying and implementing appropriate corrective action; develop and administer sound policies, procedures, and budgets.
