Overview

Sign On Bonus of $1,500.00 (2 year commitment) will be offered (eligible to external applicants only)

Monday-Friday (Days shift)

On Call rotation for weekends and holidays (Approximately on call every 4-6 weeks)

Expected pay for this position is $18.43 - $21.69/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Pharmacy Technician I assists pharmacists in ensuring medications are promptly, accurately and safely dispensed, delivered, charged and credited. Prepares and labels medications to match orders. Maintains records related to drug use and charges. This position requires the Technician to be proficient in both dispensing oral medications and in preparation of I.V. solutions. Duties may vary by assigned area or shift. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served, including neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED

​At least 18 years of age

Licenses/Certifications: PHTC-Pharmacy Tech ​PHTC2 - Pharmacy Tech Certification Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification

Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 1 year pharmacy experience Other skills/knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications Other requirements/information: Demonstrates ability to perform and apply arithmetic calculations Intermediate computer skills.
